Three days ago was Festa dell'Immacolata Concezione and the ocean rose unexpectedly high this year - people seemed unprepared and walked barefoot in the winter water. It reached all the way up to the threshold of the post office and an immaculate bottle mail could have arrived there. But the post office was closed because of the festa so it may have drifted out again.
