Jan Dismas Zelenka: Requiem in C minor
The D minor requiem was written to his father's funeral and puts the listener in a state of mourning. You can see the big (flying dutchman?) ship coming out of the thick fog with the sailors singing from the masts before it disappears again.
The C minor is the very opposite: The listener follows the dead on the ups and downs of the waves in Karon's boat (along with a 'Knöchel Verzeichnis'?) and eventually reaches the other end with its 'new chromatism' - it is good news and the listener is truly 'happy' the following day.
