Publication in China

I refer to earlier letter with copy of work 4 below and to the overview on my authorship on www.johnbjarnegrover.com/bibliography.htm - enclosed in printout - hopefully it will remain also on the web in spite of some difficulties.

My main literary works so far are

1) 1994-1995: "The Dreamer". Prose. Novel. (Appr. 580 pages).
2) 1995-1997: "A Waist of Time". Prose. Theory. (Appr. 636 pages).
3) 1997-2008: "The Endmorgan Quartet". Poetry. Free form. (Appr. 832 or 1830 pages).
4) 2008-2010: "POLAKK English Bloggi". Poetry. Bound form. (Appr. 383 pages).

Perhaps 2) is not so interesting, but it should not harm the world if it were published. Hopefully it was not my legal deposit of title 2 to austrian libraries which early next morning triggered the great earthquake and tsunami on Japan recently (www.johnbjarnegrover.com/japan.htm).

Most of these should exist in the chinese national library in Beijing.

I don't know how chinese publication and copyright rules are relative to the rest of the world - but I have this intuition acquired from some earlier information from somewhere that China is not as bound by international agreements as other countries are.

Anyhow, it would be well in accordance with my wish to see my works published in China. If it should be difficult to have them published in the west - maybe they could be published in China in any case? For example, if the rights to these works should fall on the wrong hands and interesters should try and block a publication of them (for example for use on the form of 'nuclear quakes' etc), it would be in accordance with my will and wish to see them published anyhow. This does not mean that they are public domain, but it means that it is in accordance with my will to have them published in China.

Publication in China

I delivered the enclosed letter to the embassy on 20 april 2011. It is concerned with the problem of possible posthumous blocking of the publication of my work and was based on my knowledge from earlier years that China had a particular role relative to international copyright.

Now I see that China probably in the mean time (after I acquired this information from somewhere - I think it was a newspaper article or something like that rather many years ago) has entered the international copyright convention - which probably means that the same rules today apply there as elsewhere.

My letter must be understood the right way - it is about the problem of how to rescue my authorship on the background of my particularly difficult situation, not the least since my authorship can be of some value for the international community, and then it could be a great pity if it were to be locked down and reserved for bad purposes.

I do of course not suggest that China should act in conflict with own laws or international agreements.

The authorship is mine and absolutely no business of anybody else - in particular not 'nazi' interests in the west. I take it for self-evident that it cannot in any sense of it be in conflict with the political interests of any state that my work be published.

Intrigues on ideas that I should have murdered Mao are of course totally irrelevant to my person. I have never been to China and I have of course not murdered Mao or anybody else. There is the story with me and Mette Krøtøe travelling to a mountain cottage in the summer 1976, which in theory could have been around the time when Mao died (unless he died around september or thereabout - I don't know when he was last seen alive). There are many good reasons to recognize the relevance of a theory that underearth bombs can be dug down by self-propelling machines which do not require removal of the tunnel masses (for example, the Grand Izmit quake struck exactly one month after the alleged fall-down of JFK jr, apparently exactly 81 years after the execution of the Romanov tsar family) - and if such 'rock-torpedos' can be made, then many of the great earthquakes are probably quite simply underearth bombs. One of these could have been the great and disastrous earthquake of Tangshan - if it were a bomb it could have been for signifying 'Sankthans' which is the norwegian word for the lightest day of the year (22-23 june) and normally marks the start of the school holiday in Norway - which thereby means the time when I could go for the trip to the mountains with Mette Krøtøe. If that quake were a bomb (sent by rock-torpedo from somewhere), it could have been for installing the idea that I should have left the cottage for an airplane to Beijing, murdered Mao and gone back again to the mountain cottage in the course of a few days in the summer holiday. This tells of the gigantic dimensions there could be on my person in this story - in which case the arrival of my book "I tell you, Estunates" to the national library of China in Beijing at the time of the disastrous quake of Wenchuan could have been a comparable sort of 'intrigue'. 'Wenchuan' is a phonological form which perhaps could be recognized in a number of the leading chinese names (via another former girlfriend of mine called 'Wenche Stray'), whether that be coincidental or not. The earthquake struck outside Sendai in Japan in the morning after I had delivered a new edition of my PhD dissertation to legal deposit in Austria. My Endmorgan Quartet books 11 and 12 were copyright registered in USA on 26 december 2002, and the disastrous quakes of Bam (Iran) and Banda Aceh (Indonesia) struck exactly 1 and 2 years thereafter. This tells of the particularly difficult situation which my authorship could be in.

Which means that there could be quite impressive forces behind intrigues on my person as potentially published author reaching China and elsewhere. If Mao were murdered, the plan behind such intrigues could be to swap the role of the murderer with me for political purposes. I am not involved in any such intrigues and am of course interested in rescueing my authorship.

PS added here: In the first letter there was mention of 'if it should be difficult to have them published in the west'. Of course it would be a good idea to publish the books in China. I have a feeling that perhaps they could understand them well there.
