Und als ich wollte mich nach der Geschichte zuwenden

Kinderhilfe relative enumeration #74h = absolute enumeration #97 which means chinese (Kangxi) radical #97 = chinese sign ⽠ = 'GUA' = melon etc. A closer study of the etymologies and the historic development of the chinese radical sign shows that the poem interprets the turn from older to newer script type.
