#solens pike
Det mørkner så tidlig i Szolnok.
Det kom fra en annen planet,
de ordene som måtte sies
når lyset forandret sin lét.
Vi lever ennå på jorden
der menneskelivet er skapt
og regnet trommer mot taket
og sjeler kan gå fortapt.
Jeg elsker en kvinne på jorden
når stjernene lyser i øst.
Nå mørkner det igjen mot natten.
Nå demrer det igjen mot høst.
Det taler til folket derunder
som skyldes et underlig svar.
Kaller Vårherre de munner
ser du det som det var.
Har jeg studier med deg
dukker opp for a daily routine,
teller hun skyenes vei.
Høyt over trekker vogner forbi.

It darkens so early in Szolnok.
It came from another planet,
those words which had to be said
when the light changed its character.
We live still on the earth
where the human life is created
and the rain drums against the roof
and souls can fall into damnation.
I love a woman on the earth
when the stars shine in the east.
Now it darkens again towards the night.
Now it dawns again towards autumn.
It speaks to the people thereunder
which is due to a strange answer.
Calls the Lord those mouths
you see it as it was.
Have I studies with you
pops up for a daily routine,
counts she the clouds' way.
High over wagons pull past.
