I went abroad on 27 july 2020 and all fuses were disconnected, including the main fuse, and stayed abroad for 7 months. When I returned on 2 march, the main fuse was out of order and an electrician came to change it on 4 march. When I later got the bill, the consumption 4-21 march was given as 203 kWh - while almost the entire year from 21 march 2019 to 16 march 2020 was 364 kWh and then I was in the house most of the time and the consumption was probably normal. This march my use of el was also normal.

The metres were changed in the house in the spring and new 'smart metres' were installed instead. Of course it is a likely explanation that the folks who were here to replace the metres had exchanged two of the old ones when they put them in the bag.

The result is that I now pay reduced houserent - appr 55 euros below normal - but increased el-bill - appr 55 euros more than normal. I dont know what this will lead to but I have some problems with the muscles in the hip on the righthand side.

Today I got a letter from the el provider suggesting 13 weeks gratis Ökostrom. An el-buffet?

I prefer a new bill with ordinary monthly or bimonthly payment instead. After 7 months abroad the new el-bill should of course have been lower and not higher than normal. But then it will not balance the houserent and any 'political' effect will not be the same.

On 14 december 2020 I could not return from Venice to Vienna because of the corona circumstances also for paying the fee for the PO Box for 2021 I sent on 14 december 2020 to the PO Box office in Vienna 140 euros in an envelope and asked if they could pay the next year with these and leave the remainder in my PO Box. I did the same to my PO Box in Szolnok - and that functioned well and when I later came there I found the exchange money in an envelope. But the one to Vienna did either not arrive with the post or they did not accept that way of payment, even in corona times, and the box was closed on 1 january and the many months of post returned to sender. When I opened the box in 2009 I asked what would happen if I forgot to pay in time and they assured that I would not lose any post - I would only have to pay afterwards for getting it. I have not got an explanation but today I received a printout of the registration for the following year which I paid some days ago and it turned out that my registration data would be forwarded 'zu Marketingzwecken'. I had not been asked about that and of course I would not have allowed for it if I were asked.
